"即使生命是一場空, 也要空得很充實;

<<Being Poor>>

Take the time to read this story to the end.
It will truly touch your heart--and give you pause for
thought.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

One day a father of a very wealthy family took his son on a
trip to the country with the firm purpose of showing his son how
poor people can be. They spent a couple of days and nights on the
farm of what would be considered a very poor family.

On their return from their trip, the father asked his son,
"How was the trip?" "It was great, Dad." "Did you see how poor
people can be?" the father asked. "Oh Yeah" said the son. "So what
did you learn from the trip?" asked the father.

The son answered, "I saw that we have one dog and they had
four. We have a pool that reaches to the middle of our garden and
they have a creek that has no end. We have imported lanterns in our
garden and they have the stars at night. Our patio reaches to the
front yard and they have the whole horizon.

We have a small piece of land to live on and they have
fields that go beyond our sight. We have servants who serve us, but
they serve others. We buy our food, but they grow theirs. We have
walls around our property to protect us, they have friends to
protect them."

With this the boy's father was speechless. Then his son
added, "Thanks dad for showing me how poor we are."

$20

A well-known speaker started off his seminar by holding up a $20 bill. In the room of 200, he asked, "Who would like
this $20 bill?"

Hands started going up. He said, "I am going to give this $20 to one of you but first let me do this." He proceeded to crumple the dollar bill up.

He then asked, "Who still wants it?" Still the hands were up in the air.

"Well," he replied, "What if I do this?" And he dropped it on the ground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe. He picked it up, now all crumpled and dirty. "Now who still wants it?" Still the hands went into the air.

"My friends, you have all learned a very valuable lesson. No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because
it did not decrease in value.

It was still worth $20. Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way. We feel as though we are worthless. But no matter what has happened or what will happen, you will never lose your value.

You are special - Don't ever forget it! "Never let yesterday's disappointments overshadow tomorrow's dreams"
